The Triumph Wedge Owners Association (TWOA) is a North America-based club for owners of "The Shape of Things to Come", the Triumph TR7 and TR8, built from 1975 - 1982. However, our members and their Triumph Wedges reside throughout the world.

Re-formed in 2007, the TWOA grew out of the TR8 Car Club of America (TR8CCA) to bring the benefits of a national organization to TR7 enthusiasts. The club welcomes members from anywhere in the world who own and enjoy TR7's and TR8's, as well as those who would like to join other enthusiasts of "The Shape"

Of the three major events where Wedges will be seen in force,  the Mitty and the Group 44 celebration has happened and I've uploaded photos from Mike Perkins onto my gallery for perusal.  There are also photos here. SAD NEWS:

On Monday, March 23rd, the Triumph Wedge Car community lost one of its greatest friends and advocates as Bill Sweeting, former Secretary/Treasurer of the TR8 Car Club of America, lost a year long battle with Leukemia.

For more than a decade, Bill, along with David Huddleson, managed the TR8CCA while it grew to over 400 members during its peak years in the late 1990s. He was a familiar sight at regional British car shows, particularly The Roadster Factory’s Summer Party, which became the unofficial annual gathering of the TR8CCA.  Bill’s promotion of the 1998 Summer Party, at which the TR8 was the featured marque (the first time the wedge car was so honored at a major event), resulted in a class of more than 80 TR8s; the largest gathering of the marque before or since.  Watch for the July issue of the TWOA newsletter for a full retrospective on Bill's life.
