There are many reasons to join a real physical club like TWOA.  We'll try and elaborate a bit if you're not convinced a club is for you.  Perhaps the first one that comes to our minds is insurance.  Most classic/antique auto policies are a real bargain but they require you to be a member of a club.  TWOA fits the bill!  Here are just a few other benefits of belonging to TWOA:
  • Our newsletter which contains more in-depth discussion of all things wedge than you can find on the web. Plus access to all the old newsletters of the original TR8 Car Club and all the newsletters of the TWOA.
  • Free For Sale advertising to a very targeted group of owners.
  • Free TR8 ECU repair. We've been offering this service to our fuel injected TR8 members since about 1990 with a very high rate of success. Your cost? Only shipping to and fro. We can't guarantee we can fix every dead or surging ECU out there, but our success rate has been extremely high.
  • Free ECU loaner program (TR7, both kinds, and TR8). We can send you a working ECU for debugging or if you get stranded somewhere too!
  • The Head Honcho Project: a special tool designed to make getting off the head off the TR7 a piece of cake. The tool has been manufactured, and can be rented out. Lots of success stories and smiles here!
  • TR7 Valve adjustment shim kit rental, modelled after the kit you can rent from iPD-Volvo. We ship you a collection of shims, you take what you need and give us your old ones in return for a small rental fee.
  • Obsolete Parts We work actively to make obsolete parts available again, and when available, members get first access, typically at significantly reduced rates. NO other TR7 or TR8 club works to make obsolete parts available again except us.  We are responsible for the existence of new sunvisors, FASD gasket kits that have been obsolete for 30 years, TR8 airbox gaskets, and much more.
  • Wedge Travel Assistance, both phone advice as well as help from nearby wedgeheads.
  • VIN research. Wondering about the history of your car? How many Spiders existed? We're discussing this too. The club already has a very extensive list of VINs.
  • TR7 and TR8 Fuel injection advice.
  • Technical Advice on most anything wedge with the ability to talk with real people over the phone - who won't try to sell you anything.
