Mailing List, Forums & Clubs

There are several ways to find Wedge content on the web, the largest and oldest is the very first kind of social networking, a mailing list, set up around 1988 which basically consists of a bunch of wedgeheads sitting around chatting via Email. You'll find the majority of the Triumph TR7 and TR8 owners worldwide are members of this mailing list if they have a computer. This is THE definitive way to communicate with the largest group of owners.

To subscribe to the the TR7&TR8 mailing list:
Send a message to: tr7-request@mercury.lcs.mit.edu containing the line
" subscribe <your-Email-address> " (without the double quotes or brackets)
in the body of the message.

If you have problems getting subscribed to the list, you may email us at wedgelist@triumphwedgeowners.org and we will be glad to help.

You can choose to get the mail from those discussions real time (which leads to lots of messages in your mailbox) or once a night, in one single concatenated digest Email. Additional details of how to join the WWWedge mailing list can be found on the WWWedge website which is worth a browse if you haven't been there. Yes, if you're wondering, one of us (TenCate) set up the WWWedgesite years ago while the club was still very young so there is a natural link between TWOA and the WWWedge, and the TWOA still maintains the WWWedge site for historical purposes. It's the very first website about the wedge cars. Once you're there, instructions for joining the mailing list can be found by clicking on the "Mailing List" button on the left hand side at the top of the screen. Archives of that mailing list are available going back to 1992.

TWOA also has a Facebook presence that is open for everyone, not just TWOA members. If you're a Facebook user, feel free to jump over and visit us. There are links to free information, event updates, LOTS of photos and more! Our Facebook group is called Triumph Wedge Owners Association, and can be reached here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/TWOAGroup/.

Another way to get Wedge information online is a public searchable forum. There are several worth noting here: The Triumph Experience is a highly frequented forum with a LOT of seasoned TR7 and TR8 owners there with a lot of knowledge, and British Car, and The British Car Forum are good ones too. Don't forget that our parent club, the Vintage Triumph Register has a forum for all marques, not just the TR7 and TR8.

Revived, updated, and expanded is the tr7triumph.com forum, which grew from the roots of the triumphtr7 forum.  This site has been expanded, updated and modernized and is a very active group.

The British Car is a forum sponsored by The Wedge Shop, and because of this, they typically have excellent advice specific to the TR7 and TR8.

Lots of us are members and contributors to one or more. Check them out. They're all free!

TWOA is also affiliated with two clubs, other clubs worldwide which focus on the TR7 and TR8. Together we make up around 1000 members! Two are physical clubs with social events, and get togethers. The TR Drivers Club is based in the UK, the TR7 IG is based in Germany. The tr7-tr8.com World Wide Owners Club is a virtual club, meaning it only exists on the web but it too has a lot of wedge content. The German TR7 club website is auf Deutsch (in German) so you'll have to use babelfish or similar to translate. Links are below.
